Jon, Max and Shawn find themselves caught up in a haunting mystery that dates back to Civil War times. At the same time, they find themselves in a struggle with a group of greedy land developers who are also supplying beer to local teens.

It all begins when one resident of a nursing home home (Mr. Herzog) tells the boys of strange lights that appear in the field adjacent to the home, and of the haunting figure of a man that he has seen roaming the grounds. Herzog, a local history buff, believes it all has something to do with a lost troop of Civil War soldiers who were supposedly buried in a common grave somewhere in North Point, although the final resting place has never been found. The Triangle Club is skeptical, but to find out what's really happening, Jon, Max and Shawn decide to investigate the late-night goings-on.
